Tweeting can be expensive, especially when you break the NFL's policy on game day.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Cincinnati Bengals receiver Terrell Owens was fined $5,000 by the NFL for tweeting too close to last weekend's kickoff against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The league implemented a new social-networking policy this season as Twitter has become very popular among its players.

Owens is the second Bengal to be fined for tweeting. Teammate Chad Ochocinco was fined an astounding $25,000 by the NFL for two Twitter violations this year.
