Here are the most interesting stories Monday in the AFC North: Morning take: This surprised me, because Baltimore is usually an aggressive team. But the Ravens tightened up with the lead -- particularly offensively -- and it cost them.

  • Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's return opens up the Pittsburgh Steelers playbook.
Morning take: The Steelers gained chunks of yards offensively Sunday for the first time all season. But the rest of the schedule will be tougher than the Cleveland Browns.

  • Browns rookie quarterback Colt McCoy showed leadership after throwing for 281 yards in his first NFL start.
Morning take: McCoy's poise and toughness impressed me. There's no need to go overboard after one game, but McCoy deserves another start with two veteran quarterbacks still hobbled.
Morning take: The Bengals had a week off to figure things out. These next several games are make or break for Cincinnati.
