BEREA, Ohio -- Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Colt McCoy lit up in the locker room Wednesday when asked about Drew Brees. The New Orleans Saints quarterback and Super Bowl champion is a player McCoy has admired for a long time.

Brees On Sunday McCoy is expected to face Brees for the first time when the Browns (1-5) travel to play the Saints (4-2). Coming off a better-than-expected NFL debut last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, McCoy will likely make his second straight road start against the defending Super Bowl champions.
"Obviously I don't deserve to have my name in the same sentence as Drew Brees, especially not right now," McCoy said. "He is somebody who I really look up to. What a great feeling it would be to be on the same field as him."
McCoy said, up until being drafted by the Browns this year, he watched a lot of Brees' games. Brees, 31, is from Austin and McCoy, 24, played at the University of Texas. McCoy also joked that both may be the two shortest quarterbacks in the NFL.
Brees, who is 6-feet, and McCoy, who is 6-foot-1, both had to deal with the height issue coming out of college. Neither was a first-round pick. But Brees is now one of the NFL's top quarterbacks, while McCoy is working to earn a permanent starting job in Cleveland.
"This is what God gave me; I am who I am," McCoy said. "I'm going to do the best that I can with the ability that I have, whether I was 5-foot or 6-5. It doesn't really matter. I'm going to go out and compete and try to help my team find ways to win."
