I just wanted to pass along a few additional notes from the night practice Saturday of the Cincinnati Bengals.
- Despite expectations earlier in the day, Bengals starting quarterback Carson Palmer did not participate in the second practice session Saturday. Palmer felt ill, according to head coach Marvin Lewis. When asked if Palmer would practice Sunday, Lewis said "We'll see."
- Starting linebacker Rashad Jeanty spent the second practice on the stationary bike just as a precaution to rest his lower leg. Rookie linebacker Rey Maualuga took the first-team reps Saturday night.
- Backup cornerback David Jones also sat out of the second practice after hurting his left foot Saturday morning. Jones was wearing a walking boot and could miss time. The Bengals should have a full update on Jones in the coming days.
