Morning take: Is Troy Polamalu the best?

December, 9, 2010
Here are the most interesting stories Thursday in the AFC North: Morning take: I'm already ducking for all the shots about to be fired in our latest "Troy Reed" debate.
  • Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer says the future of Bengals coach Marvin Lewis continues to be a hot topic.
Morning take: With a poor product on the field, it's natural to begin looking forward to the offseason for Cincinnati (2-10). We will have more on this topic later (hint, hint).
  • Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports Browns quarterback Jake Delhomme is getting ready for his third straight start.
Morning take: Delhomme played better last week, which is a good sign. The bar is now raised for the Browns, who are expected to beat bad teams like the Buffalo Bills (2-10) on the road.
  • Edward Lee of the Baltimore Sun takes a look at Ravens rookie tight end Ed Dickson, who could start Monday against the Houston Texans in place of Todd Heap (hamstring).
Morning take: Dickson has the athletic ability but needs to show he can do the job through experience. Dickson's start also comes on the NFL's biggest stage.
