Polamalu continues to make big plays; he had two interceptions in Pittsburgh's 23-7 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The safety returned one of those interceptions 45 yards for a touchdown in the first half. He is the first player to win the award on defense in consecutive weeks since Bruce Smith accomplished the feat in 1990.
Reed set a Ravens record by recording a 103-yard kickoff return to start the second half of Baltimore's 34-28 overtime win over the Houston Texans. Reed broke various tackles on his way to the end zone, which gave the Ravens a 28-7 lead the team would later relinquish in regulation.
