Warner not on Roethlisberger HOF train

It's always interesting when one Super Bowl-winning quarterback talks about another, especially when both have Hall of Fame credentials.

WarnerWarnerThat was the case this week when former St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals great Kurt Warner put a screeching halt on the Hall of Fame hype this week surrounding Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Warner had some poignant comments on KTAR radio in Phoenix towards Roethlisberger.

"I'm just waiting to see Ben as the guy that carries his team at some point in time. The fortunate thing for him is he hasn't had to do that. He carries them in the last two minutes. He makes some key plays. (He's) phenomenal out of the pocket and ad-libbing. But for me, if you go to the Hall of Fame, you have to be a guy who can carry your team week in and week out as a quarterback. That's my opinion."

Here is the full post from NFC West blogger Mike Sando. What I found most interesting is Warner mentioned the last two minutes, because Roethlisberger ended a chance for Warner to win his second Super Bowl title with a game-winning touchdown to Santonio Holmes in Super Bowl XLIII.

Is this an accurate assessment from a former adversary or just sour grapes from Warner?
