Earlier this week, we examined whether quarterbacks Andy Dalton and Colt McCoy have what it takes to shift the balance of power in the AFC North toward the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns, respectively.
Today we pit the two young players against each other in our latest edition of "Poll Friday" in the AFC North blog.
So who will have the better NFL career: Dalton or McCoy? Both were tremendous winners in college who are now trying to prove their worth for a pair of Ohio teams.
Will Dalton outlast McCoy? Dalton comes to a Bengals team desperate for a quarterback after the Carson Palmer fiasco and is projected to be the Week 1 starter. Dalton has some solid weapons on offense, including a pair of first-round picks in receiver A.J. Green (2011) and tight end Jermaine Gresham (2010).
Or will McCoy be the better NFL quarterback? He already has a one-year head start on Dalton, which included eight starts for Cleveland last season. McCoy showed flashes of poise and accuracy in 2010, which has the Browns optimistic he's the long-term solution.
