This week ESPN.com's Power Rankings series rated the league's top offensive players, excluding quarterbacks. The thinking was the NFL's glamor position would dominate the top-10 list.

So we're going to address the quarterbacks in the AFC North with our own Power Rankings.

1. Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers

Skinny: Roethlisberger is clearly the best quarterback in the division. He's been to three Super Bowls, winning two, and is one of the NFL's elite quarterbacks. Roethlisberger played some of the best football of his career the past two seasons and is his prime.

2. Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens

Skinny: Flacco continues to improve but has yet to develop into the dominant quarterback the Ravens are waiting for. Flacco has all the physical tools to make it happen, which is why the Ravens remain optimistic. Year 4 will be huge for Flacco to take the next step, which is to play consistently well in the playoffs.

3. Carson Palmer, Cincinnati Bengals

Skinny: Once a very good quarterback, Palmer, 31, is now on the downside of his career and may be looking at retirement if he stays true to his word. Palmer only has a few productive years left, which is why he doesn't want to spend another two or three seasons rebuilding with the Bengals.

4. Colt McCoy, Cleveland Browns

Skinny: McCoy has natural leadership ability and showed flashes of great play last season, but he remains a wild card for the Browns. Cleveland is going all-in with McCoy this season in hopes that he secures the job for the long haul.

5. Andy Dalton, Bengals

Skinny: In many ways Dalton's strengths are similar to McCoy's. Accuracy and leadership are Dalton's biggest assets. He is projected to be a Week 1 starter in Cincinnati and has good weapons around him, which should help ease the transition in his rookie year.
