Now it's getting ridiculous.
The 12-year veteran didn't have many good things to say about Baltimore's starting quarterback during his appearance this week on the NFL Network.
"Capable quarterback [but] if you put a lot of pressure on him, he makes bad decisions," Jones said of Flacco. "Any time we were able to line up in the box, we were able to confuse him. He was always throwing picks. He was always making bad judgment calls."
Jones was probably alluding to Flacco having one of the worst games of his career against Cincinnati last season in Week 2 when Flacco threw a career-high four interceptions in a 15-10 win for the Bengals.
This is the second consecutive week an AFC North linebacker ripped Flacco on national television. Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley also said Flacco will never win a Super Bowl "in this lifetime." Flacco is just 2-6 against the Steelers and 0-6 in games Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was the starter.
The bigger question is why is Flacco, whose stats improved every year, such a huge offseason target for fans, media and now players? Is this immense criticism fair?
