Morning take: Vonta Leach vs. Steelers

Here are the most interesting stories Wednesday in the AFC North:

Morning take: Leach was brought to Baltimore, in part, to help the Ravens run against the Steelers. It will be a tall task. But Leach believes he's up for the challenge.

  • The Steelers are working on an 11th-hour deal to sign safety Troy Polamalu to an extension.

Morning take: The Steelers usually do not negotiate during the regular season, so both sides have just a few days to get a new contract done. I'm not sure if the Steelers can squeeze out enough cap space.

  • Cincinnati Bengals receiver Jordan Shipley and Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy are like brothers.

Morning take: Both were college teammates at Texas and involved in each other's weddings. But the goal Sunday is to lead their team to victory.

Morning take: Seeing a 4-3 defense in Cleveland will be different from the past several years. The Browns also have a lot of young pieces defensively that need to play well.
