Ravens wide receiver Lee Evans didn't practice Thursday after being limited the previous day, which might indicate a setback with his injured ankle.
Evans, who has missed the past two games, had targeted to return for Sunday's game against the Texans. Durability had never been an issue for Evans, who played in every game in his first six NFL seasons before missing the last three games last season with an ankle injury.
“It’s frustrating,” Evans told The Baltimore Sun on Monday. “I’ve never been in this situation before. It’s tough, obviously, to come in here understanding what we have here and wanting to be a part of it. It hurts not to be out there and be part of it. But at the same time, you’ve got to be 100 percent to play well.”
In other Ravens injury news, safety Tom Zbikowski (concussion) also didn't practice after being limited Thursday. Left guard Ben Grubbs (toe) was limited for a second straight day. For the Texans, quarterback Matt Schaub (right shoulder) returned to practice with limited participation. Wide receiver Kevin Walter (illness) was added after he didn't practice Thursday.
BROWNS: CB Joe Haden (knee) and C Alex Mack (illness) both didn't practice again. For the Raiders, FS Michael Huff (ankle) didn't practice Thursday after being limited Wednesday. MLB Rolando McClain (ankle) returned to practice Thursday with limited participation.
STEELERS: Five starters didn't practice for a second day: RT Marcus Gilbert (shoulder), NT Casey Hampton (shoulder), OLB James Harrison (eye), LG Chris Kemoeatu (knee) and DE Aaron Smith (foot). Starting SS Ryan Clark (quadriceps) had a full practice Thursday after being limited Wednesday. Backup OLB Jason Worilds (quadriceps) was limited after not practicing Wednesday. For the Jaguars, leading tackler Daryl Smith (head) returned to practice with limited participation.
