Bengals running back Cedric Benson had his NFL suspension reduced to one game and a fine of an additional game check, the Bengals confirmed.
Benson will miss Cincinnati's game at Seattle on Oct. 30 following this week's bye and return to the active roster on Oct. 31. The fine of an additional game check will cost Benson $175,470.
He was originally suspended for three games under the league's personal conduct policy. He was arrested twice and spent nearly a week in jail before this season.
Benson appealed the discipline because his actions came during the time when the players were locked out by the NFL.
