AFC North: Revisiting the Bengals' 2006 draft

This is the second of a three-day series examining drafts for each AFC North team over the past three years. Grades are based on performance, where players were picked (too high, too low) and whether they remain with their original team.

Here is a look at the Bengals' 2006 draft:

Analysis: Coming off a postseason berth, the Bengals did a solid job in the 2006 draft in what was thought to catapult the team among the AFC elite. Johnathan Joseph, Andrew Whitworth and Domata Peko were all contributors as rookies and have developed into solid players. But suspensions and troubles from the 2005 class hurt the Bengals as they finished at .500 (8-8) in 2006. Currently, six players from this class are still on the roster, which is a good ratio. Overall this class is solid.

Grade: B
