Revisiting the Baltimore Ravens' 24-16 win at the Cincinnati Bengals:

Thumbs up: Dennis Pitta. The backup tight end's chemistry with quarterback Joe Flacco goes beyond matching Fu Manchu mustaches. He stepped up to fill Anquan Boldin's void in the passing game, catching six passes for a career-best 62 yards and one touchdown.

Thumbs down: Ed Reed. The Pro Bowl safety had one of his worst games of the season. His whiff in tackling backup running back Bernard Scott cost the Ravens a touchdown.

Stat that sticks: 2,068 -- Total yards by Ray Rice which led the NFL this season. Rice also set a team record with 15 touchdowns this season.

Overheard: “It was a huge boost. He didn’t decide until (Sunday). We thought there was a chance he would play, but weren’t totally sure. There’s not a tougher player I’ve been around in 27 years of coaching.” Ravens coach John Harbaugh on right guard Marshal Yanda, who played despite being listed as doubtful and delivered a key block on Rice's 70-yard touchdown.
