HOUSTON — It took all week but the Cincinnati Bengals are finally indoors.
After practicing in freezing temperatures in Cincinnati, the Bengals will play today's wild-card game (4:30 p.m. ET) against the Texans with the roof closed at Reliant Stadium.
The weather is more than comfortable here with temperatures in the 70s. My guess is it's closed to increase the noise factor and create more of a home-field advantage. And, as ESPN AFC South blogger Paul Kuharsky pointed out, the Texans rarely play with the roof open.
The Bengals decided against going to the indoor facility at the University of Cincinnati this week despite the windchill dipping to 14 degrees on Tuesday and 27 on Wednesday.
