She shows how Suggs went from a video clerk downing Jack in the Box to one of the most feared defensive players in the NFL. "If I was going to create a player on the 'Madden' football game, I'd create somebody just like Terrell Suggs to play on my defense," Bengals offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth said. Suggs, an NFL Defensive Player of the Year candidate, was named the fifth-best pass-rusher by Scouts Inc.'s Matt Williamson.
I was a Ravens beat reporter in 2003, when Suggs was taken in the same Ravens draft as quarterback Kyle Boller. During my time covering the team, no one developed more as a player than Suggs. He was the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year on his pass-rush ability alone. Then, over the years, he learned how to make the transition from being a college defensive end to an NFL linebacker. Suggs is now considered one of the top run stoppers on one of the best run-stopping defenses.
Suggs has truly gone from a student to the teacher at "Ball So Hard University."
