Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Keith Rivers has a nickname for quarterback Carson Palmer.
"He’s the new Captain Comeback," Rivers said after Cincinnati’s 17-14 win over the Baltimore Ravens.
After missing most of the preseason with an ankle injury, Palmer is warming up, particularly late in games when it matters most.
In three consecutive weeks, Palmer has put together game-winning drives in the final seconds against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns and the Ravens. He’s one of the biggest reasons Cincinnati is 4-1 this season and 3-0 against the AFC North.
Here are Palmer’s statistics in Cincinnati's final drives of the fourth quarter and overtime since Week 2, courtesy of ESPN's Stats & Information.
