Here are seven oddities you might not know about the AFC North through five weeks of the season:
- Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis has never been off to a 0-5 start in his career, and it's the first time Cincinnati has lost its first five games since 2002. That year the Bengals started 0-7 before finishing 2-14.
- Baltimore Ravens rookie quarterback Joe Flacco, who is more of a game manager, has a higher yards-per-attempt average (5.69) than Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer (5.67) and Cleveland Browns starter Derek Anderson (4.64).
- Flacco also has the second highest completion percentage (58.5) in the division, behind Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (63.7).
- Pittsburgh receiver Hines Ward's longest reception so far this year (49 yards) is 1 yard longer than teammate Santonio Holmes' longest reception (48 yards).
- With 5.5 sacks through five games, Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley has already eclipsed last season's sack total of four.
- Bengals middle linebacker Dhani Jones is the NFL's league leader in tackles with 51.
- Browns outside linebacker Kamerion Wimbley has four sacks in his last 17 games.
