Here are the most interesting stories in the AFC North:
With the trade deadline Tuesday, rumors are swirling everywhere. The latest is the Baltimore Ravens are interested in Buffalo Bills receiver Terrell Owens.
Morning take: Although I suggested the Ravens should inquire about Owens in free agency, the Ravens clearly wanted no part of it. I’m not sure why that would change several months later.
Cleveland Browns coach Eric Mangini says nothing is imminent for the trade deadline.
Morning take: At 1-5, some Browns are certainly available. If I had to pick one player with the best chance to be shipped, it would be defensive lineman Corey Williams.
Pittsburgh Steelers backup defensive end Travis Kirschke filled in nicely for injured starter Aaron Smith (shoulder) in a win over Cleveland.
Morning take: I had a feeling there would be no short-term impact. But the Steelers will play much better competition moving forward where the loss of Smith could show.
Cincinnati Bengals first-round pick Andre Smith (foot) will return to practice this week.
Morning take: This is good progress, although it doesn’t necessarily mean Smith will play Sunday against the Chicago Bears. Smith likely needs more time to get into football shape.
