The Cleveland Browns are making calls around the league to try to trade for a third first-round pick, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The Browns, who already have two first-round picks, would use their second-round pick (the 37th overall) and another compensation to move back into the first round.

Teams typically trade into the first round to get a quarterback. The Browns have been linked to Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Weeden, who is expected to go late in the first round or early in the second.

The pre-draft buzz has Cleveland taking a wide receiver and running back with its two first-round picks (Nos. 4 and 22). It could be a combination of either Trent Richardson-Kendall Wright or Justin Blackmon-Doug Martin.
