This is part of ESPN's two-week series on five teams that could make the playoffs that didn't last year and five teams that made the playoffs last year but won't this season.
I actually like the Bengals' chances of returning to the playoffs this season. On paper, they're a better team than the one that lost to the Houston Texans in the wild-card round. But this is a franchise that hasn't put together back-to-back winning seasons since 1981-82.
