AFC North Top 25: 22nd-ranked player

The AFC North blog is continuing its series on the top 25 players in the division with No. 22:

Why Brown is ranked 22nd: The Steelers' Most Valuable Player (the one selected by teammates) deserves a place on this list. The reason I didn't place him in the top 20 was because his body of work is only one really good season. He went from being a projected No. 3 receiver to the team's hottest playmaker by the end of the season. What makes Brown stand out is the fact that he's the first player in NFL history to produce over 1,000 yards receiving and 1,000 return yards in the same season. That overshadowed his 28 catches on third down, which was the third-most in the NFL. If his strong second half carries over into this season, he could easily crack the top 15 next season.
