I'm going on vacation for the next two weeks (it's called the offseason for a reason) before coming back to ramp up the coverage heading into training camp. But the AFC North blog won't go silent during my time away. Starting today, I will be counting down the top 25 players in the AFC North. The only date to circle over the next couple of weeks is July 16, which is the deadline to get players with the franchise tag signed to a long-term deal. If no deal is struck by that date, Ravens running back Ray Rice, Browns kicker Phil Dawson and Bengals kicker Mike Nugent will have to play the entire season under the tag. While I think Dawson and Nugent will play with the tag this season, I think there is a good chance that the Ravens will reach a long-term agreement with Rice.
