Browns running back Trent Richardson will get a second opinion on his sore left knee, according to coach Pat Shurmur.
"Trent Richardson is traveling to Pensacola, Fla., where he will have his left knee further evaluated by Dr. James Andrews tomorrow," Shurmur said in a statement.
A source told the Cleveland Plain Dealer that Richardson needs a minor cleanup on the knee, but nothing that would keep him out long. This is the same knee that he had scoped in February.
Richardson isn't expected to play in Friday's preseason opener.
