Suggs put on PUP, other Ravens moves

August, 27, 2012
It doesn't come as a surprise that the Baltimore Ravens put linebacker Terrell Suggs on the Reserve-Physically Unable to Perform list, which officially means he will miss the first six games of the season. Players can only be put on Reserve-PUP if they start training camp on Active-PUP.

Suggs, who injured his Achilles this offseason, is expected to miss at least the first half of the regular season and likely more. Baltimore also placed wide receiver-returner David Reed (knee) on Reserve-PUP.

In addition to those two moves, the Ravens placed four players on injured reserve: DT Ryan McBean (ankle), S Emanuel Cook (leg), LB Darryl Blackstock (leg) and LB Stevie Baggs (leg).

That gets the Ravens to the 75-player limit. On Sunday, Baltimore waived eight players and cut kicker Billy Cundiff.
