We're handing out game balls after Week 3 and this is who's getting them:
OFFENSE: Torrey Smith, Ravens wide receiver. Is there really any debate about this? Less than 24 hours after losing his brother in a motorcycle accident, Smith rallied the Ravens to a 31-30 win over the Patriots. He caught six passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns in the most emotionally inspired performance of the season.
DEFENSE: Michael Johnson, Bengals defensive end. He got to know Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III really well, sacking the rookie three times and hitting him on four other occasions. Some might downgrade his performance because it came against a backup left tackle, but all Johnson did was capitalize on a weakness. It's the most sacks by a Bengals player in three years.
SPECIAL TEAMS: Justin Tucker, Ravens kicker. The undrafted rookie hit the first winning field goal of his career, slicing the 27-yarder just inside the right upright. There were no questions that he has the leg to kick at this level. Tucker hit from 56, 51 and 48 yards a week earlier. But Sunday night was his first pressure kick. Tucker also did his part on kickoffs with four touchbacks.
