BALTIMORE -- In what has to go down as a first in the NFL, the officials received a standing ovation when they walked onto the field.
Referee Gene Steratore showed his appreciation for the reception by tipping his cap to the crowd. The Thursday night game between the Ravens and Browns marks the first game for the previously locked-out officials.
Steratore and his seven-man crew made it to Baltimore to officiate a game about 20 hours after a new agreement with the NFL was reached. Of course, let's see how long the crowd's appreciation lasts after the first questionable call of the game.
