As I'm typing this, my arm is really sore. It must from patting myself on the back all week after going 4-0 on my Sunday predictions. I know all will be forgotten once I have a bad week of picks. It's the NFL. It's a "what have you done for me lately" league. This is how I see Thursday night's game unfolding:
Steelers 24, Titans 17: This matchup screams blowout. The Titans haven't held a team under 30 points this year and were beaten by a combined score 68-21 in their past two games. But Thursday night games tend to have less scoring and strange things happen to the Steelers on the road. Chris Johnson, who's been criticized for his 2.9-yard average, will put on a good showing on national television. That will keep the Titans closer than expected. The difference will be the passing game. Ben Roethlisberger will continue to work the short passing game with Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown. They will make plays after the catch and exploit a poor tackling Tennessee secondary.
Last week's recap: 4-0. Season record: 10-3.
Steelers 16, Eagles 14 (my prediction: Steelers 23, Eagles 17)
Ravens 9, Chiefs 6 (my prediction: Ravens 31, Chiefs 20)
Dolphins 17, Bengals 13 (my prediction: Dolphins 21, Bengals 16)
Giants 41, Browns 27 (my prediction: Giants 24, Browns 13)
