We're handing out game balls after Week 8 and this is who's getting them:
OFFENSE: Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers. While Jonathan Dwyer gets the accolades for revving up the run game, Roethlisberger put together another winning performance for Pittsburgh. He completed 72.7 percent of his passes and threw three touchdowns with no interceptions. Roethlisberger has been the one constant for an offense that dealt with dropped passes by receivers, poor protection from the line and no production from the running game at some point this season.
DEFENSE: Entire Browns defense. The whole group deserves a game ball after holding the offense out of the end zone in a one-point win. Safety T.J. Ward made a critical fourth-down stop in the first quarter and cornerback Buster Skrine broke up a fourth-down pass to seal the win. Plus, the Browns did this with four starters sidelined in the front seven.
SPECIAL TEAMS: Ziggy Hood, Steelers. The former first-round pick has been making an impact on defense recently by batting down passes. On Sunday, Hood put his hands and leaping ability to work again. He blocked the extra point from Kai Forbath in the second quarter, when the score was 10-6. That block hurt the Redskins' momentum after they had driven 80 yards on 13 plays.
