The Ravens knew they wanted to boost their return game. That's why they looked at Eddie Royal and brought in Ted Ginn for a visit. It wasn't until May, when Jones was released by the Texans, that the Ravens found their returner, signing him to a two-year, $7 million deal.
Jones has exceeded all expectations for Baltimore. He leads the NFL with a 37.4 kickoff return average and has posted three combined kick return touchdowns (two on kickoffs and one on punt return), all of which have come in the last five games. Not only is Jones the first Raven to ever score three kick return touchdowns in a season, but he’s just one of four NFL players since 2008 to score a punt return, kickoff return and receiving TD in a single season.
