Here are the most interesting stories Tuesday in the AFC North:
- The Pittsburgh Steelers put on an impressive display, overwhelming the Washington Redskins, 23-6, at FedEx Field, despite quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder) not playing in the second half.
Morning take: We will find out more about Roethlisberger's injury later on Tuesday. But if he has to sit out a game or two, the Steelers should have newfound confidence in backup Byron Leftwich.
- The Cleveland Browns have quarterback issues of their own, making the switch to Brady Quinn for Thursday night's game against the Denver Broncos.
Morning take: Something is odd about this quarterback move. Anderson wasn't playing poorly in his past five games. Plus, bringing in a new signal caller on just two days of practices could be setting up Quinn for failure.
- In Baltimore, Ravens rookie running back Ray Rice is making a case for more carries.
Morning take: Rice will get his due. Baltimore has a tendency to ride the hot hand in games, and right now Rice is that player.
- Speaking of preparation, with this bye week, Cincinnati Bengals starter Ryan Fitzpatrick could improve.
Morning take: Fitzpatrick is starting to get comfortable in the offense. But the Bengals are still going to need him to play nearly flawless every week to have a chance to win.
