Here are the most interesting stories Monday in the AFC North:
  • The Cleveland Browns fell to 1-10 with a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. But the Browns also suffered another big blow with a potential season-ending leg injury to defensive tackle Shaun Rogers.
Morning take: Rogers is probably Cleveland's best defender. So losing him would be yet another hit in an already brutal season for Cleveland.
  • Meanwhile, Bengals first-round pick Andre Smith finally saw his first action Sunday of the 2009 season.
Morning take: Smith played several snaps but it wasn’t enough to get a solid read on where he stands. At least he got his feet wet for the long haul.
  • The Baltimore Ravens (6-5) are once again hopeful after beating the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-5) in overtime Sunday night.
Morning take: Baltimore barely kept its season alive by breaking a three-game losing streak against its biggest rival. It should be an interesting December.
Morning take: Perhaps it was the heat of the moment after a tough loss, but I can attest that things were pretty tense in Pittsburgh's locker room last night. The champs need a win in the worst way next week.
