PITTSBURGH -- Left guard Ramon Foster did not practice Wednesday and his availability for Sunday is in question because of an ankle sprain he sustained in the Steelers’ 23-10 win over the Buffalo Bills.

Also sitting out the Steelers’ first practice of the week were defensive end Brett Keisel (foot), outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley (calf) and center Fernando Velasco (knee), but all are expected to play Sunday against the visiting Lions.

Left tackle Kelvin Beachum (hip), guard David DeCastro (ankle) and right tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) were limited in drills on Wednesday. So was tight end Heath Miller, who was given his usual maintenance day by coach Mike Tomlin.

Rookie Shamarko Thomas has already been ruled out for Sunday because of a left ankle sprain.
