Here are the most interesting stories Wednesday in the AFC North:
- Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette believes there were three "obvious snubs" for the Pro Bowl, which include linebacker LaMarr Woodley, nose tackle Casey Hampton and defensive end Aaron Smith.
Morning take: "Obvious snubs" are strong words. Woodley has the best case of the three. Smith and Hampton are great players, but it's an uphill battle every year for 3-4 linemen to make it to Honolulu.
- Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times profiles Baltimore Ravens tailback/fullback Le'Ron McClain's run from unknown to Pro Bowler.
Morning take: McClain runs extremely hard and has been a great story. He is one of several unsung heroes on Baltimore's team this season.
- Tony Grossi of the Cleveland Plain Dealer scouts Sunday's "Battle of Ohio" between the Browns and Cincinnati Bengals.
Morning take: To the winner goes...a lesser draft pick!
- According to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com, receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh said he will make the Pro Bowl next year.
Morning take: Houshmandzadeh forgot to add "...in a different uniform."
