Tuesday must be the designated day for coaching news with the Baltimore Ravens.

Just hours after former quarterbacks coach Hue Jackson reportedly left for the Oakland Raiders, the Ravens announced the hire of new linebackers coach Dean Pees. The former New England Patriots defensive coordinator has 37 years of coaching experience, including seven in the NFL.

"I've known Dean for 27 years, and he's our type of coach -- energetic, hard-working and innovative," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said in a statement.

Vic Fangio was Baltimore's linebackers coach in 2009, and the Ravens announced that he is no longer with the team.
