Morning take: Ike Taylor apologizes
By James Walker
Here are the most interesting stories Monday in the AFC North:
Morning take: I'm surprised this came from a veteran such as Taylor. But at least it occurred in a preseason game.
- Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor apologized for Saturday's fight that got him ejected in the first quarter against the New York Giants.
Morning take: Lardarius Webb's pending return can plug one hole, but that won't completely fix this issue. Linebackers and safeties also have to cover better.
Morning take: The loss isn't devastating for the reigning AFC North champs. Wilson was projected to be the team's fourth safety.
- The Cincinnati Bengals remain deep at safety, despite Gibril Wilson's major knee injury.
Morning take: The rookie's knee injury allowed Jerome Harrison and Peyton Hillis to move past Hardesty. But a team can never have enough productive running backs.
