Morning take: Cleveland's wide receivers
By James Walker
Here are the most interesting stories Wednesday in the AFC North:
Morning take: The AFC North blog called this one months ago. Everyone could see this was a major weakness for Cleveland. Yet the Browns chose to do nothing about it in the offseason.
Morning take: This could be a sign that Byron Leftwich may be ready or at least plans to dress Sunday as an emergency option. Charlie Batch currently is the only healthy quarterback on the roster.
Morning take: Gooden was just finding his groove as a backup linebacker and on special teams. But injuries have been the story of his career.
- Baltimore Ravens linebacker Tavares Gooden will be out at least a month with a shoulder injury.
Morning take: Too many of those penalties were mental errors. Sometimes it's difficult to make a team play smarter, but that's the challenge for Cincinnati's coaching staff.
