Morning take: No extension for Joe Flacco
By James Walker
Here are the most interesting stories Sunday in the AFC North:
Morning take: Flacco, who has two seasons left on his rookie deal, will get his payday in Baltimore. But it won't happen this year. Pro Bowl free agent Haloti Ngata waited his turn and has to be the Ravens' biggest priority.
Morning take: Former LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson would not be a bad alternative pick at No. 6. Defensive line is Cleveland's biggest need, but pairing Peterson with starting corner Joe Haden would secure the secondary for years to come.
Morning take: Pettis is a mid-round prospect, which the Steelers have had success scouting in recent years. Starter Mike Wallace and talented backups Emmanuel Sanders and Antonio Brown were all drafted in the third round or later.
Morning take: The most recent was the 2004 deal that allowed the St. Louis Rams to take tailback Steven Jackson, while the Bengals selected Chris Perry and got an extra fourth-rounder (Stacy Andrews). The Rams got the better end of that deal.
