Morning take: Steelers draft needs
By James Walker
Here are the most interesting stories Thursday in the AFC North:
Morning take: Cornerback is probably at the top. But with the No. 31 overall pick, it's very difficult to project available players, which could lead to the Steelers taking an offensive or defensive lineman.
Morning take: Browns president Mike Holmgren said he would take a look at Newton. At this rate it doesn't appear he will get out of the top five. But if Newton falls to the Browns, that could open trade possibilities.
Morning take: Often it takes a quarterback in the first round to catch someone's eye, which is what happened last year with Baltimore and the Denver Broncos for Tim Tebow. If available, Washington's Jake Locker and Arkansas' Ryan Mallett could get interest.
Morning take: Simpson finally came on strong towards the end of his third season. He should get a chance to compete for a starting job in training camp. So it's good to hear that he's motivated.
