Morning take: Marvin Lewis on QBs
By James Walker
Here are the most interesting stories Friday in the AFC North:
Morning take: Lewis, as head coach, must stay optimistic so his team can follow suit. But realistically Carson Palmer's trade demands and threats to retire puts a really dark cloud over the Bengals' 2011 season.
Morning take: Williams is a versatile and physical defensive back, which seems to fit Pittsburgh's aggressive style. Earlier this week, we broke down Williams' strengths and weaknesses.
- Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says the Steelers' interest in Texas cornerback Aaron Williams is legit.
Morning take: I disagree with this assessment. Ray Rice, Jamie Sharper, Chris Chester, Gary Baxter, Kim Herring and Dwan Edwards were solid second-round selections by Baltimore. Not every pick has to be a Pro Bowler, particularly after the first round.
Morning take: The Browns are in a good spot this year at No. 6. Cleveland has the ability to take the best available player or likely move out of the pick if quarterbacks Cam Newton and/or Blaine Gabbert are available. The Browns have to be prepared for various scenarios.
