The Cincinnati Bengals beat Friday's deadline to sell out this weekend's home game against the Denver Broncos. The team bought more than 1,000 tickets and donated them to military personnel and to local charities. There are still tickets available for the game, according to the team, but the game will be aired Sunday at 1 p.m.
"We are happy to go the extra mile and allow all fans in our home region to watch on Sunday," Bengals executive vice president Katie Blackburn said. "We are also excited about the prospect of having a full house here cheering as our team takes the field."
The NFL gave the Bengals a 24-hour extension to beat the deadline earlier this week.
