Former Bengal Odom shot in leg
By James Walker
It's been a nightmare year for former Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Antwan Odom. Just months after experiencing a house fire, Odom was shot in the leg Monday during a reported home invasion.
Odom was released by the Bengals this summer. He is in stable condition, but the gunshot wound prolongs his chances of signing with another team this season.
Cincinnati signed Odom to a $29.5 million deal in 2008, but he never lived up to his contract. Odom was often injured and missed 26 games the past three seasons. Odom was also suspended four games in 2010 for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
