Evening notes: Big Ben game-day decision

By Jamison Hensley

Here's a look at the major injuries around the division:

STEELERS: Who will start at quarterback for the Steelers will be a game-day decision, offensive coordinator Bruce Arians told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. QB Ben Roethlisberger (ankle) didn't practice for a second straight day. Last week, when he did end up playing, he practiced by the second day. Charlie Batch is expected to start if Roethlisberger can't, but Dennis Dixon could see time if Batch struggles. Center Maurkice Pouncey (ankle) didn't practice after being limited Wednesday. OLB LaMarr Woodley (hamstring) returned to practice Thursday after sitting out Wednesday.

BENGALS: Eight players were limited in practice, including WR A.J. Green (shoulder). He has practiced both days this week, which is a positive sign. LT Andrew Whitworth (knee) returned to practice after not working on Wednesday. RT Andre Smith (ankle) practiced for a second straight day. WR Andre Caldwell (groin) hasn't practiced this week.

BROWNS: QB Seneca Wallace will start at the Ravens for the injured Colt McCoy (head), who won't make the trip to Baltimore. S T.J. Ward (foot) was placed on injured reserve after missing the past six games. Usama Young has replaced him. CB Joe Haden (thigh bruise) returned to practice Thursday and is expected to play. WR Mohamed Massaquoi (foot) also returned to practice after sitting out Wednesday.

RAVENS: K Shayne Graham will replace injured Billy Cundiff (left calf) on Saturday against the Browns, coach John Harbaugh said. Cundiff hasn't practiced this week. WR Anquan Boldin (knee) will miss the last two games of the regular season after having surgery Thursday, but is expected to return for the playoffs. DE Cory Redding (ankle) didn't practice for a second straight day but he should play Saturday. He played with the same injury last Sunday night.
