Ravens revel in Steelers' misery
By Jamison Hensley
Some Ravens players took pleasure in watching the Steelers' surprising loss to the Denver Broncos in Sunday's wild-card game.
“It was priceless to see the look on their faces,” left guard Ben Grubbs said, via the team's website. “I’m sure they went into that game expecting to win, but the outcome was a lot different.”
The Ravens didn't have to play in the first round even though they had the same record as the Steelers because they swept Pittsburgh this season. Baltimore players acknowledged they were happy that the teams didn't have to meet a third time this season.
“I’m kind of excited they lost,” defensive tackle Arthur Jones said. “I didn’t want to play them three times. I wanted to play someone new. We’ve seen that helmet so many times. There’s 30 different teams; why not someone different?”
