Biggest concern: Steelers
By Jamison Hensley
All this week the AFC North will look at the biggest concern facing each team in the division for the 2012 season.
The Steelers can't be happy that wide receiver Mike Wallace waited to report until the last week of the preseason. But he's already running with the first-team offense. And Pittsburgh has to be concerned with linebacker James Harrison entering another season with an injury issue. But he's on track to suit up for the season opener.
The biggest concern for the Steelers is the same one they've had every year. It's pass protection. Last year, Ben Roethlisberger was sacked 40 times. Only two other quarterbacks were sacked more. That was supposed to change this year, when the Steelers used their first two draft picks on offensive linemen (guard David DeCastro and tackle Mike Adams).
But the only change to the season-opening offensive line has been Willie Colon switching to left guard. DeCastro is out with a knee injury, and Adams has been slow to develop. The Steelers have to find a way to reduce the hits on Roethlisberger, and unlike last year, keep him healthy.
