Harrison setting sights on playing Sunday

By Jamison Hensley

Steelers linebacker James Harrison is setting his sights on playing Sunday after participating in practice Monday. Harrison has missed the first three games of the season after having arthroscopic knee surgery on Aug. 15.

No one should overreact to Harrison practicing. It was only last week when Harrison practiced Tuesday during the bye but he couldn't work out Wednesday because the knee didn't respond well to the previous day's practice.

It'll be a stronger sign if he continues to practice through the week. The Steelers return to practice Wednesday.

Harrison, though, seemed optimistic when he tweeted Monday afternoon:
God willing, I will be playing Sunday against the eagles!

The Steelers are expecting safety Troy Polamalu (calf) and running back Rashard Mendenhall (knee) to play Sunday. Getting back Harrison would get the Steelers close to full strength. But Harrison's status probably won't get cleared up until later in the week.
