AFC North game day: By the numbers
By Jamison Hensley
A look at some "smart stats" from our friends at ESPN Stats & Information:
1 -- Number of Browns rookies to ever catch a touchdown in three straight games in the past decade (Josh Gordon). In his past three games, Gordon has seven receptions for 240 yards (34.3-yard average) with four touchdowns.
3 -- Josh Cribbs' ranking in the NFL with a 14.3-yard average on punt returns.
4 -- Straight wins by the Steelers over the Redskins, a streak that dates back to 1997 following a three-game losing streak in the series. Pittsburgh has outscored Washington 77-29 in their last four games.
5 -- Touchdown catches for Heath Miller this season. That's tied for most among NFL tight ends.
7 -- Losses for the Browns in their last eight games against the Chargers. Their lone win against the Chargers in the last 20 years occurred on Oct. 7, 2001, when Kevin Johnson caught a 19-yard pass from Tim Couch to win 20-16.
10 -- AFC-best interceptions this season by the Browns. Since entering the NFL in 2010, cornerback Joe Haden leads the team with eight interceptions.
14 -- Wins for Ben Roethlisberger in 15 home games against the NFC. That's a .933 winning percentage.
46 -- Team-high tackles by linebacker D'Qwell Jackson.
97.3 -- Ben Roethlisberger's NFL-leading QBR on third downs this season. No other quarterback has a QBR above 83.2 on third downs.
167 -- Season-high rushing yards by the Steelers last Sunday. They are 9-0 when they rush for 120 yards since the start of 2011 and 6-7 when they rush for fewer than 120 yards.
