Source: Big Ben likely out three weeks

By Jamison Hensley

Steelers doctors believe Ben Roethlisberger will miss three weeks with rib and shoulder injuries, but the team hasn't ruled out that he could return for the second meeting at the Ravens on Dec. 2, sources familiar with the situation told ESPN's Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter.

Roethlisberger is out for Sunday night's game against the Ravens after getting hurt early in the third quarter last Monday against the Chiefs. He isn't expected to play next week at the Browns.

Whether Roethlisberger is back for that rematch against the Ravens could determine whether the Steelers win or lose the AFC North, especially if Pittsburgh loses to Baltimore tonight. The Ravens would take a two-game lead over the Steelers with a win Sunday night and essentially would clinch the division with a season sweep of the Steelers. Baltimore has only swept the Steelers twice in the 16-year history of this rivalry.

Roethlisberger is 3-2 for his career in games played in Baltimore with five touchdowns and seven interceptions. Sunday night marks the third time Roethlisberger has missed a game with an injury over the past 4 1/2 seasons.
