Ray Rice, D'Qwell Jackson win AFC honors
By Jamison Hensley
Ravens running back Ray Rice was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week, and Browns linebacker D'Qwell Jackson received the defensive player of the week award.
Rice totaled 164 scrimmage yards (97 rushing, 67 receiving) in Sunday's overtime win in San Diego and converted a fourth-and-29 in the fourth quarter to keep the comeback alive. This is Rice’s fourth offensive player of the week award. He most recently won the award in 2011 (Week 17).
Jackson posted a team-high nine tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one pass defensed in the Browns’ win over the Steelers. It was more of a team award because the Browns forced eight turnovers. This is Jackson's first defensive player of the week award of his seven-year career.
